The Association of Local Government Rating New Zealand (ALGRNZ) is a charitable organisation that was founded by Colin Archer. Colin is now retired and has been recognised with life membership.
ALGRNZ members administer the organisation and hold an annual seminar that brings rating officers from around the country together.
Our aim is to unite Local Government employees who are engaged in rating, rating valuations and debt collection functions. We provide speakers and up to date information that facilitate best practice in rating and revenue functions. We keep rating, valuation and revenue officers updated with changes in legislation, valuation and audit information. Relevant court cases and the latest business practices are also put before those that attend our annual seminar.
